RunningMOMentum About Me

Charlottesville Half Marathon

Hi! I’m Ashley ~ welcome to my little blog, Running MOMentum! I’m an elementary school counselor by day, but when I am home, I’m a cloth-diapering, nursing, babywearing mommy to my sweet son, E. My husband and I are living in a toddler’s world! Blogging is my way of processing and reflecting on my experiences and relishing in the loves of my life – my faith, my family, my friends, and my experiences!

Many of my posts are on running and other hobbies. I ran cross country in high school but took a hiatus after a spinal fusion, and only recently returned to running about a year before my son was born. My favorite race was the 2014 Walt Disney World Marathon! You might also catch me taking pictures, writing, finding freebies, attempting to cook, attending Bible study, scouring Pinterest, scrolling through Bloglovin’, and watching  Gilmore Girls.

Virginia has always been home to me, my husband, our son, and our sprightly Jack Russell Terrier, Scout.

Ahh, the Disney marathon! I have often thought about running it, but considering I can’t even make it over a mile I think I will have to wait on that one! So fun, love this space! Happy Saturday!

I did my own Dopey Challenge, running all 4 races in 4 days, for the 48.6 miles. I would love to find out if this Dopey and Goofy challenge medals are still available?

My 9 month old son was just diagnosed with urticaria and I happened upon your blog. Has your son grown out of it? I am terrified of what this means for my son and his daily life. Any insight you could share would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi! Thanks so much for visiting! He has not outgrown it. Our last dermatologist said that he would outgrow it by age 5. She also didn’t seem too concerned. Our pediatrician also thinks he’ll outgrow it and said she’s only concerned how it would affect him later if it didn’t go away… what have you found?
